Apply to be a 2027 Ski Trip Leader or Assistant Trip Leader

All applicants must attend an in-person Orientation meeting on Tuesday, 5/12/2027 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to introduce candidates to the selection process, fundamental TL/ATL duties and expectations, and TL/ATL benefits such as discounts and lifts. Candidates will have an opportunity to meet other candidates with whom they may be working together as a TL/ATL pair, as well as members of the Selection Committee.

The Columbia Ski Club is seeking leaders for 2027 ski trips. Applications are now being accepted for those interested in being either at Trip Leader (TL) or Assistant Trip Leader (ATL). The 2027 Ski Trip Leader Application Info document provides detailed instructions on the application process, scoring criteria, and selection timeline. A Selection Committee of three senior Club members will rank the applications and conduct an objective assignment based on the scoring criteria, past performance (if applicable), and best interests of the club.

Serving as a TL or ATL is a challenging and rewarding experience and can be a lot of fun. If you are considering applying to be a TL or ATL primarily for the discount benefits, please do not apply. We need candidates that are motivated by a commitment to our members and interested in running a great ski trip. We will have a significant training program for the 2027 leaders so that leaders will have the information and encouragement they need to succeed.

Instructions for Applying to be a 2027 CSC Ski Trip Leader:

1. Read the 2027 Ski Trip Leader Application Info which includes basic instructions, dates with selection timeline, and selection scoring criteria.

2. Fill out the 2027 Ski Trip Leader Application - Your Name Here , a fillable PDF to be submitted to the Selection Committee. The submitted applicant file must be named “Ski Trip Leader Application – Your Name Here.pdf”, where the “Your Name Here” includes your First and Last name, e.g. “Ski Trip Leader Application – Jane Smith.pdf”.

3. Submit your completed application to skitrips2027@columbiaskiclub.org by Friday May 15, 2026.
