CSC Food Drive for Howard County
Our annual Food Drive to support the Howard County Food Bank will be held from Saturday, October 31 to Saturday, November 14. This is a Virtual Food Drive; here’s how it works:
Anytime between Oct 31 and Nov 14, click on the link https://giving.gofundme.com/campaign/857935/donate and you will be directed to the Columbia Ski Club Food Drive page. Choose your donation amount, fill in the requested information, and submit. That's it! Your donation can be made anonymous by checking the appropriate boxes. You can donate as much or as little as you like; a donation of $50 will feed a family of four for an entire week!
The Howard County Food Bank will use all funds donated by Columbia Ski Club members to purchase holiday foods, such as turkeys, hams, potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, pumpkin, gravy, rolls, and other typical holiday items. The items will be available for Food Bank clients at the Howard County Food Bank's marketplace and 14 food pantries throughout the county during the holiday season. Your contributions will help make the holidays joyful and nourishing for families in our county who struggle daily with food insecurity.
If you prefer not to donate on-line, we will be collecting cash or checks (payable to: Community Action Council of Howard County) at the next Columbia Ski Club meeting on November 9. In 2025, we collected just over $1000 from Columbia Ski Club members during the virtual food drive and in cash or check donations.
